I came up with this melody in the summer of 2005 when my then girlfriend (now wife) left for the summer. I had seen her for the last time (probably for a few months) and was at Iraj’s place jamming when this melody came to me.

This was the big followup to Ahankara nagare and got us major spins on BBC Asian network as well as a lot of british asian urban radio.
Aloke was also included in a compilation in India and ended up being the title track for Irajs second album.
