I honestly dont know how this became such a massive phenomenon. I came up with the melody in 2004 while I was at Yale and went home that summer to record the album. Vasantha came up with some banging lyrics but what really took it to the next level was the remix that iraj did. This song basically started the sinhalese and bhangra fusion trend and I really hope the people get over it (its 2009 now!!!).

This video was the first sinhalese video on MTV india, channel v and zee music. It became no1 in the zee music chart and also became the first sinhalese single to be distributed worldwide on the essential asian r&b compilation. Props to brother Nihal of the BBC for hooking it up.
